I’m a visual designer veteran with over 20 years of experience designing and coding websites, building businesses, and managing teams. I am extremely interested in user behavior and how to create meaningful human connection through design. I strive to surprise and delight users by creating an emotional connection with them.
As a Creative Director at Epsilon-Conversant, I co-lead a team of 15 art directors and copywriters responsible for crafting sales enablement and marketing materials for all channels. I actively collaborate with multiple internal teams including product/vertical marketing, UX/UI, web development, video production and project management. I participate in hiring for the team, as well as the vetting and management of external agencies and vendors.
I maintain a hands-on and present relationship with my team. I am an accomplished designer but I don’t shy away from gettin my hands in the work. I lead by example with my strong work ethic, positivity, and sense of humor. Empathy is a big part of my ethos as a designer and a human—I endeavor to be a good listener and compassionate colleague.
In past roles, I've worked closely with clients to create the optimum solution in line with the users needs, brand and business goals. Columbia College Chicago, Walgreens, Aon, Ellsworth Adhesives, InterCall, Hyatt, Motorola, Bosch Tools, Chicago Tribune, Vera Bradley and Restaurant.com are just a few of the brands I've worked on.
I read voraciously and I am obsessed with the universe and space. I love movies, football (BEARS!), basketball (BULLS!) and music. I have two amazing children, a girl and a boy, who inspire and challenge me everyday.
For the seven years, I served on the board of the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association, exiting with the role of VP of Interactive. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications Design with a Graphic Design concentration from the University of Dayton.
